Making Canvas Prints

Imagine being able to create any picture of your choice on canvas. Well now you can!
I have recently discovered how to make canvas prints using any picture. Yes that's right! Any picture of your choice.

Today I'm creating a double picture using first a patterned paper as my background and then a colouring page picture I have coloured in.

To begin with, the background paper needs to be stuck on. I'm using green & white striped origami paper.
Modge Podge the canvas & the paper (stripe side). Stick the paper onto the canvas and gently smooth out and bubbles and bumps. Let it dry

Now comes the tricky part. Once it's dry you will need 2 cloths, one for dampening the canvas and one for rubbing the paper off the canvas.
Dampen the canvas down with a wet cloth and let water soak for a couple of seconds.
Now take a dry cloth and very carefully start rubbing the soaked paper off. Don't rub to hard or the image will rub off!

With a dry cloth very gently rub off the wet paper

As you can see in the pictures below, I have rubbed some of the background image off (oppsie!) so lucky I had another one to work on (blue stripes).

If you do end up rubbing off some of the picture you can always get creative and add some paint splodges or whatever you like.

Its now time to add the second image. I will will using the Rockabilly Calavera Sugar Skull.

I coloured these pictures in using Faber-Castell Classic colouring pencils. If you would like to use the same images you can purchase the Rockabilly A4 Sheet HERE. The sheet has 9 Rockabilly Calavera images for you to choose from complete with background

Back to square one...Modge Podge the canvas again & image you want to use. Stick down and let dry.

Once dry, dampen the picture and gently rub away the paper with a dry cloth. Once the paper has been rubbed away, grab a wet cloth and gently wipe over the canvas to remove any bits of stray paper.

Unfortunately part of the image rubbed off. Not to worry I have patched it up using watercolor colour pencils

Using Faber-Castell Watercolour Pencils I have added some roses for the finishing touch and some goldtone stickers to spell out Rock On Or Rock Out

Punk Pretty Decoupage Quick Cards

There's something special about making your own greetings cards. Not only are they unique, they can also be keepsakes.

The great thing about making handmade cards is that no two are the same. Even if you use the same design you can always change it up a little by adding diamante's, changing the sentiment tag, adding a border, the list goes on.

If you don't feel like designing a card from scratch a great option is printable quick cards. Simply cut out and stick to your choice of cardstock paper. Use the decoupage elements to make your design really pop out.

Check out our  Punk Pretty Decoupage Quick Cards. Available in a Bumper Kit or separate designs.
