Hope all is well in your world. We are still currently on 'lockdown' here in New Zealand so crafts have been keeping me sane!
Today I'm going to talk about 'Fussy Cuts'
What exactly is a 'fussy cut' image? It's an image that has a shadow or outline around it where you cut.
What can fussy cut images be used for? The ideas are endless! but here are a few to get you started:
junk journal pages, scrapbooking, pocket tags or tags, cardmaking, note paper, mixed media projects, masterboards, decorative photoframes and MORE!
Before I became a digital designer, I would search the internet for hours looking for images to use in my work. Most of the time when I found a decent vintage image I liked, it would have a background, take for example the image below. So I would have to print the whole image which would suck a lot of printer ink. Imagine printing numerous other images this way just to cut out the rose!
Now that I design, I am able to turn these kinds of images into fussy cut images and then create collage sheets with multiple images to be fussy cut.
